Valplast and Regular Dentures

A denture is a plate with a number of false teeth on it and can be all plastic (acrylic) or acrylic with a light metal base. The latter one is less bulky, more secure and stronger but is more expensive.

Whilst conventional dentures have traditionally been made from metal bases and acrylic teeth, Valplast dentures make use of a nylon thermoplastic which has several benefits over conventional braces. For instance, there is no metal clasps used in Valplast dentures, making them very light and comfortable to wear. The Valplast denture also incorporates translucent material, which allows your natural gums to show through, giving your teeth a natural appearance.

Bridges

Bridges hold custom-made teeth and have anchors, which attach to neighbouring teeth. Where there are only a few teeth missing and the other teeth are strong and have good bone support it may be possible to restore the gap with natural-looking porcelain teeth.

Bonding

Bonding, or composite resin fillings, is the solution for restoring decayed teeth, making aesthetic improvements, reshaping, and even changing the colour of your teeth.

Premier Dental Care can sculpt, colour and shape your bonding after applying a thin coating of a plastic material and bonding material on the front surface of your teeth.

Veneers

Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain or composite that is made to fit over the front surface of a tooth. They are used to improve the colour, shape and/or position of a tooth or several teeth.

Crowns

Crowns, also known as caps, are designed to cover a large area of damaged teeth. Your dentist is likely to recommend a crown in cases in which a tooth has weakened. This can be caused by extensive dental decay, large fillings, accidental damage, such as a fracture or root canal treatment. Premier Dental Care’s patients receive different types of durable crowns.

Invisalign

Invisalign® are invisible braces which is an innovative and discreet way to correct misaligned teeth. They consist of a series of clear plastic aligners that are changed every two weeks so that your teeth are gently realigned into a new position. Each new aligner moves your teeth a small amount so that gradually they achieve the same result as metal braces.

A virtual 3D treatment plan (ClinCheck© treatment plan) shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment.

This allows you to see what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of the treatment. From the results of the ClinCheck treatment plan, your custom-made, clear aligners are produced especially for you.

Since the plastic aligners are clear they are nearly invisible, so no one other than the patient needs to know that they are there at all, and they can be removed at will for eating and brushing. Invisible braces are perfect for mild cases.

Teeth Whitening

Our teeth often become darker as we go through life. Premier Dental Care can help restore the lustre and shine of your teeth the with its teeth whitening services. This procedure is ideal for people who have healthy teeth and gums. Several teeth whitening systems are available for patients on the market. At Premier Dental Care we recommend a gradual home whitening system that has shown to have the longest-lasting effect and also makes future top-ups easy and cost-effective.

Dental Cleaning

Usually, teeth cleaning is done by a dental or oral hygienist. Before the cleaning process is done, the hygienist (or sometimes the dentist if a routine appointment was done first) will do a physical inspection of your mouth, teeth and gums, to check for signs of gingivitis (inflamed gums), bleeding, sensitivity or other potential concerns.

Airflow Cleaning System

AIRFLOW technology -A perfect and self-confident smile without yellowish and blackened teeth is possible thanks to the gentle teeth cleaning technology AIRFLOW. It is a mechanical technology based on a very gentle polishing of teeth. The polishing removes deposits from the surface of the teeth by means of microparticles of sodium bicarbonate air blast and water. The treatment is not unpleasant. The main advantage is the removal of staining from areas between the teeth as these areas are not reachable in the course of common treatment. Staining of teeth is caused by e.g. smoking, coffee, tea and red wine drinking, use of colour flavours etc. Many people, even if they brush their teeth regularly, don’t have white teeth. Dark to black spots originate on teeth and can not be removed.

Fluoride Treatment

We routinely apply fluoride varnish for children at their examination. This has shown to have preventative qualities and help to strengthen their teeth. We also provide prescriptions for special high fluoride toothpaste for children and adults with increased risk for dental caries.

Root Canal

A root canal procedure is used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. Your dentist will perform a root canal when the nerve of the tooth is likely infected or the pulp is damaged. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.

Tooth Extraction

A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth. Extractions are performed on teeth that have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease or dental trauma.

Fillings

We offer a variety of filling services such as Amalgam (silver colour), Composite (tooth colour), Gold inlays and onlays (gold colour), Porcelain inlays (tooth colour). Premier Dental Care only uses high-quality filling materials. We can replace old fillings with new composite/white fillings if you wish. The cost of fillings vary depending on your needs. Many of the procedures are fully or partially covered by the NHS. For enquiries please contact us.

Inlays & Onlays

Where a tooth is badly broken down it may need to be restored with an inlay or an onlay. These are similar to the purpose of a filling, but are much stronger and usually last longer. They are usually custom- made and then cemented into place. They are similar to a crown, but smaller, covering less surface area of the tooth.  Inlays and onlays can be made out of porcelain composite (white in colour) or gold where strength is paramount.
